Q: What can The Woof Gang do for me as a pet sitter that my friends / family / neighbor can't do?
A: Friends, family members or neighbors might seem like a logical choice for pet sitting. But, as a professional pet sitter, The Woof Gang is entirely dedicated - 100% - to the care of your pets. Not only will we consistently be there to pet sit at our agreed-upon time, but, we also have the training and experience necessary to assess different situations that might arise during pet sitting and then, apply the appropriate care or response in support of your much-loved companion animal and home. The Woof Gang is a licensed, bonded and insured pet sitting and dog walking company, and, as an added measure of protection, The Woof Gang is also fully trained in Animal First Aid and Animal CPR, should the need arise.

Q: Do you pet sit in my home or yours?
A: The Woof Gang's pet sitting service is a unique alternative to pet boarding! Instead of taking your pet out of their familiar environment, we come to YOU, in your home, to care for your pet. The benefits of in-home pet care, as opposed to boarding your pet, are many: Your pet's exposure to illness is minimized. - Your pet's diet and exercise routines are uninterrupted. - Your pet will be happier and experience less stress in familiar surroundings, at home.

Q: How many times do you visit, and at what time?
A: Most cats, birds and small caged pets are fine with just one pet sitting visit per day. Dogs usually do best with a pet sitting visit every 6-8 hrs. When deciding how many pet sitting visits you need, please think about how many times per day you feed your pets, or how many times your dog normally goes outside. Our regular visit hours are 8AM - 8PM.

Q: My cat/dog/fish/caged pet doesn't really need much care. I usually just leave them an extra big bowl of food and water. Will you come by every 2/3/4 days to change their food and water and check on them?
A: In our professional opinion, leaving any pet alone for two days (or more!), is not only cruel - animals are "social" creatures! - but, irresponsible. Even with our best efforts to provide adequate food, water, etc, anything could happen to your pet while they are unsupervised. At the very least, your pet could become ill or injured, trapped in an area, their water could be spilled, someone could break in ... the negative possibilities are endless! For this reason:
*We can not provide service to dog households which request less than (2) visits per day.
*We can not provide service to cat and caged pet households which request less than (1) visit per day.

Q: Do you provide overnight or entire day pet sitting?
A: The Woof Gang will provide overnights and full day pet sitting on a very limited, case-by-case basis. We suggest that clients try 2-4 pet sitting visits per day. In most cases, this is more than sufficient.

A: Yes. The Woof Gang is a licensed, bonded and insured pet sitting and dog walking company. Our liability insurance includes coverage for your pets, your home, your dog walker / pet sitter and anyone or anything that your pet might come in to contact with. With The Woof Gang as yor pet sitter, your pet, the pet sitter and your personal property are all covered in the event of injury or accidental damage.

Q: What types of pets will you pet sit for?
A: The Woof Gang has experience pet sitting for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, snakes, fish, rabbits, chinchilla, small caged critters, etc! If you have a unusual pet that you would like us to pet sit for, please contact us. In most cases, we will be more than happy to learn how to care for it.

Q: Will you bring in my mail while pet sitting for me?
A: Yes. In addition to having The Woof Gang provide exercise and companionship for your pets while pet sitting, you will also receive customized services (bringing in the mail, watering plants, taking out the trash) at no extra charge. We also offer 'house sitting' services to non-pet households!

Q: Will you play with my pet while you pet sit?
A: Yes! The Woof Gang truly loves spending quality time with animals! The Woof Gang is not only a pet sitter for your pet, but, a companion and an exercise buddy! You only need to show your pet sitter where your pet's favorite toys are, and we will make sure to mix in a healthy amount of play time with their scheduled visit! With The Woof Gang as your pet sitter, your pet will stretch their legs, get plenty of exercise, and will be relaxed and ready to cuddle up with you when you arrive home from your travels.

Q: How long in advance should I book my pet sitter?
A: Please contact us as soon as you know your travel plans. Many of our clients schedule their pet sitting visits months in advance. We will try our best to accommodate last minute pet sitting reservations.
